Stop believing in myths …
After a lot of consultations, and for the sake of our children and the future of the country, we have resolved to go to court seeking the removal of religious education (CRE/ IRE/ HRE) from the public curriculum in Kenya, as it is patently unconstitutional. It goes against Article 32, 8 and Article 27 of the Kenyan Constitution. We are asking those in support of this noble idea to send money to the MPESA account below. We require KShs. 200,000 to file this petition.

In Kenya, religious education is mandatory at the primary level, and quasi-mandatory at the secondary level. This fact clashes with the principle of separation of religion and state spelled out in the constitution’s Establishment Clause. It also violates several provisions within Chapter 4 of the constitution.
We are seeking funds necessary for our litigation efforts. A victory in the courts- which we strongly believe will come- will be a major strike for reason, equality, and the rule of law. We shall appreciate any support given to us!
We are already getting immense opposition from the religious groups: http://www.canaafrica.org/index.php/home/16-latestnews/234-catholic-bishop-in-kenya-defends-religious-education-in-school-curriculum
