Folks, I met this Muslim lady. Tried extending my hand to greet her, but she refused, saying that Islam does not allow married women to greet other men with their hands. While I have no issues how we generally greet each other, I now see clearly what religion can do to someone. Religion imprisons. It impedes natural freedoms.
If it was because of an infection that I could not greet her, that would be acceptable. But to say that Islam dictates so, is an affront on basic human freedoms. The freedom of this woman to do whatever she wants with her fingers and her hands has been curtailed by Islam.
