Did ‘God’ Write The Bible? NO!!

wrote-bibleNo, the Bible was not written by “God.” It was written by man. Or to be more specific, many men, probably thousands of different people, who over the ages created, contributed, translated, edited and embellished various writings over hundreds of years. After this, various church organizations “canonized” selected writings and created different versions of the Bible. Even today, people disagree over various translations of the books, and the new testament we recognize today was not assembled until the 4th century, 300+ years after Jesus’ time!
The bottom line is that for the most part, nobody really knows who wrote the Bible. Many of the books’ authors to this day remain completely anonymous. But scholars all agree there were numerous authors of both the old and new testament.

    2 Timothy 3:16-17

All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

    2 Peter 1:20-21
“knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

    Romans 15:4
“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope”

    John 1:1
“in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the word was God”

After watching “Ancient Aliens” on the History Channel, I realised that even the Bible was authored accoring to the perspective of the chaps holding the writing instrument. Unfortunately, the many years of darkness allowed perverted dirty old men to advance their doctrine and impose punitive penalties on anyone who dared question their deductions. There you have it. I said it.

You are right God did not pick up a pen and write the Bible, can you imagine God throwing a book to earth for us to read? No God spoke to people His prophets and through His inspiration told them what to write. The book of Revelation is written from the vision that John saw of the end times and he wrote from what God was revealing about Himself. The Gospels are accounts written by the apostles who walked with Jesus, listened to Him speaking, witnessed Him healing the sick, feeding the hungry etc. The Old Testament mainly compiled from accounts of prophets that God spoke to personally and asked them to write. No matter what you want to believe the Bible is God breathed and God inspired nothing less.

Just to clarify that it is not that God cannot write but that He prefers to use His servants and hence speaks through visions, dreams, even His voice. That is why in many cases the prophets would say; The Lord said to me e.g Deutronomy 10:1, Ezekiel 35:1, Jeremiah 1:1 etc Through visions isaiah 1:1 and revelations Revelation 1:1, through angels etc. Daniel 5:5 there was a writing on the wall by a hand…..
