Jesus had a girlfriend — Mary Magdalene

Jesus and Mary of Magdala (Mary Magdalene) had an intimate relationship!

Most Christians will tell you this wasn’t the case simply because it does not state so explicitly in the New Testament. But there are hints that may say so. Most of the information that this theory is based on comes from other Christian writings that were suppressed and thought to be destroyed by the early Roman church.

Many of them were discovered in the 1940s in Egypt. Some mention a close relationship between Jesus and Mary M. Other just go as far as calling her his beloved disciple.

There would be no reason to be opposed to Jesus having had a significant other, well, unless you feel that sex is a sinful act.

I like this blog posting as it does have strong evidence to support it. The Gnostic gospels do speak of this relationship and I personally believe that it would make sense for a Jewish man to have a wife in those times. It is my understanding that Jewish men held to the traditions of having a wife anf family. It only makes sense. Good post.

The so-called Judas gospel and a host of some other pseudographia emerging over the cause of christian history have sought much to render null the claim of Jesus to divinity. Jesus never had any relationship of the nature you imply with post and any attempt to insinuate so is just the concerted effort to discredit Jesus mission on earth which was to redeem mankind from sin. Having carnal knowledge of a woman would have irreparably undone that mission.

@Iwrite Irate, the author of the above message has always doubted the existence of the historical Jesus how a non-existence personage became entangled with a woman is a miracle I still trying to understand.

And the evidence you claim to exist in abundance pointing towards that relationship how come they are not in common print even in these era of the internet? I woul love to read some.

Wouldnt arguing about whether Jesus have a girl friend be pinned proving that Jesus in deed did exist? It appears to me that it would be particularly hard for one to have a girl friend when they dont exist….

Jesus was not necessarily a religious man, but he believed so much in God. He had absolute faith, even in the fact that he came from God. He said “I and the father are one”. He actually was simply a message from God to the world. The message was God and the message took the form of flesh. It taks the spirit to understand the symbolic sacrifice that Jesus made.
Jesus, though one with God, was man like us. He passed through the same things we are passing through and He made his point and fulfilled his purpose. Without God, life has neither meaning nor purpose but with God, all things are possible. It is only by faith in God, through the symbolic representation of Christ as the way, the truth and the life, that we can locate purpose, derive meaning and bear fruits in life.
